Having been a long time supporter and sponsor of the West Australian chapter of the Furnishing Industry Association of Australia, Austim was thrilled in 2003 to be presented with the award for Best Supplier – Customer Service. After many years of striving to be the supplier of choice to the industry, our efforts were recognised by our customer base.

In late 2007 it was recommended that Austim join the Family Business Association of Australia and lodge an entry into the annual FBA Awards, recognising outstanding performance in an Australian family business. Given the strength of the competition, the company did not expect to be in the running, but did in fact win the prestigious BDO Kendalls Growth Award, which recognises the fasted growing family business over a three year period. The award was received with great pride by the Rowney family, who are carrying on the legacy started by Peter Rowney in 1985.

At the 2008 Furnishing Industry Association of Australia Awards, the judges deemed Austim to be the worthy recipient of the annual Excellence in the Supply of Timber Award. With an outstanding distribution model, delivering competitive, quality timber products to all levels of the distribution chain, the company was outstanding in its ability to meet customer expectations. This award sums up the company mission and was accepted with a great level of pride in knowing that going the extra mile provides results and rewards.

Also at the 2008 Furnishing Industry Association of Australia Awards, Austim was awarded the prestigious Supplier of The Year 2008 award. The significance of this award is that the company was deemed to offer quality of product and service sufficient to be judged higher than 29 other nominated industry suppliers. This award is deemed to be the benchmark for supplier performance in the furniture industry and is much coveted.
